01 / About me

A regional perspective.
A financial focus.

Saudi Arabia → United Arab Emirates → Taiwan

Arabic (native) · English · Mandarin Chinese (intermediate)

Born and raised in Saudi Arabia, I studied Economics in the UAE before moving to Taiwan for a master’s in Political Economy at National Tsing Hua University.

My interests sit at the intersection of finance and economic development: how investment moves across borders, how institutions shape markets, and how Gulf economies build beyond oil.

My experience includes banking, market research, financial documentation, and multilingual coordination. I’m interested in investment product research, credit analysis, and reporting within asset management, alongside China–GCC investment.

02 / Research interests

Questions I want
to understand.

Areas I’m interested in exploring through academic research and financial analysis. These are research directions, rather than published findings.

01 — CROSS-BORDER CAPITAL

Chinese investment & Gulf diversification

The relationship between Chinese foreign direct investment and non-oil economic growth in GCC countries.

Explore the research question

How does Chinese investment contribute to diversification, and what institutional conditions shape its impact? Potential approaches include time-series analysis using ARDL or VECM methods, where appropriate for the data.

02 — INSTITUTIONS & GROWTH

Institutional reform & productivity

How legal and economic institutions influence the business environment, investment, and productivity.

Explore the research question

What can reforms and institutional models such as Saudi Arabia’s Najiz platform and the Dubai International Financial Centre tell us about the relationship between institutions and economic outcomes?

03 — FINANCE & MARKETS

Capital markets & credit analysis

Connecting company fundamentals, financing decisions, and macroeconomic conditions to investment analysis.

Explore the analytical focus

My areas of interest include financial statement analysis, fixed income, credit risk, and the role of international finance in China–GCC economic relations.
